The Wednesday
Nite Cruise-In (WNCI) is not an OLD TOWN STAFFED CRUISE, it is however an independent event with the permission of
and for the benefit of Old Town and it's merchants. Hosted by Steve Butler. "Little Darlins' Street Party" is
entertainment that is provided by the "Old Town Merchants
Association". However there is a tip jar so that you may also
show your appreciation to the Dukes and help keep this music alive.
It's more than a Cruise-In or concert, it is a community.
It was a great Anniversary,
Thank You to all that came out.
The Wednesday Nite Cruise-In during “Little Darlin's Street Party” at
Old Town, is looking for car enthusiasts that like to socialize in a
“Home Town” atmosphere, that enjoy music from the 50’s, 60’s and
70’s and show off their car. They welcome 1987 and Older “Cruiser
Cars”. They also invite any of the “Legacy or Special
Interest Cars*” that include Corvettes, Camaros, Firebirds, Mustangs and Minis of any
year. If you are not sure if your car is eligible, come on out and
ask, you will not be turned away for that evening. If your car is
deemed not eligible for registration, you will be informed at that
time but will be invited to stay for the show. Remember this event
is primarily a Cruise-In, a gathering of Cruisers and their cars.
However there may be occasional Cruises up the even side of Deac
Hundely Avenue.
Linda or Steve will probably greet you as you arrive, if not find
them at the registration table. If you wish to
participate in the Cruise-A-Matic and Cruiser of the Week portions
of the night’s events there is a one time fee of $5 for
registration (maybe one day we can get a sponsor for that, then it
would be free!). If you are eligible and do not wish to register, you
are still welcome to come as often as you can.
The “Cruise-In” and 50/50 ticket sales start at 5:00 and you may
arrive by entering down the bricks of Deac Hundley Avenue and turn
left by the Clock and then left on to Trophy Row, as early as 3:30.
The live entertainment starts at 6:00 and the "Stroll on Trophy Row"
is at 7:30, just before the Cruise-In has its
awards and 50/50 drawing after the second set, around 7:45, ending
the “Cruise-In”. Of course you may stay for the last set of live
entertainment that ends around 9:00. The weather is not a factor at
this event, it is “Rain or Shine”, the entertainment may start a
little late or end early but the show goes on. The record number of
Strollers, 108 was on February 16, 2011.The New RECORD, January
25th, 2012 is now 124~
These are the guidelines but as always Old Town and/or the Wednesday
Nite Cruise-In reserves the right
to refuse admission for any reason.
*Absolutely
no motorcycles allowed on Trophy Row during the Cruise-In or big
engine 3 wheel choppers or VW’s, Corvairs, Mustangs made into Trikes

Row other than operated by Old Town Staff or Cruise-In Staff.
