To avoid
future controversies and confusion the following modifications
and or clarifications on the way we run the Wednesday Nite Cruise-In
are now implemented.
Daily Drivers can no longer park with the “Cruisers” on Trophy Row
(unless it is registered as a WNCI Cruiser or is currently registered on
a Saturday night). If you have to bring out your Daily
Driver you will not
be eligible to win the Cruise-A-Matic* but you
can play the 50/50.
The best place to park is of course in the Parking lot directly West
of the stage at the end of Water Street. Block 3 is available at the
moment but that too may end up being part of “Cruiser Parking” in
the near future.
Linda keeps a record of all in attendance, she knows most of you but
please stop and see her to make sure she has included you.
Registered WNCI Cruisers please have your Dash Card displayed so
that it is readable from the front of the car. If your dash card is
older that July 24th, 2008 You may need to re register if you wish
to play the Cruise-A-Matic and or win the “Cruiser of the Week”
prizes. FNC & SNC Cruisers that do not wish to register please show
Linda your Cruiser ID, Cruisers that are not registered with
anything at Old Town are still welcome if they have a qualifying
car**.
Absolutely no motorcycles or big engine 3 wheel choppers or VW’s,
Corvairs, Mustangs made into Trikes or any other car modified like
that. allowed on Trophy Row during the Cruise-In. No trucks that are
modified to be "Mudders" or have high lift suspensions.
If you must
have a "For Sale" sign on your car try not to make it so
conspicuous, this is not a "Used Car Lot". In most cases if some one
is interested in your car they are going to ask you if it is for
sale, even if you don't have a sign. We would like to have people
that attended this event to enjoy the social aspect and viewing the
cars not to look at Billboards. Take the night off from selling it
and enjoy.
I was hoping that we would not have make any of these ridged rules,
unfortunately that time has come.
This decision is final and this issue is closed.
New Rules for the WNCI
Cruise-A-Matic (CAM)
*Effective
immediately:
Eligibility: Cruisers, that include volunteers such as Gary,
Dave, Bunny. Laura, Bill, Doris and or any other unnamed occasional
volunteers who have a registered vehicle at the Cruise-In on Trophy
Row and present proof of WNCI registration (Dash Card issued after
July 24th, 2008) and Verified by Linda that they have attended at
least one other night since then. Steve Butler who is now
officially the uncompensated / Volunteer “Host” of the event is no longer eligible to win
even though he is a Cruiser and has never been compensated for his
duties.
The drawing will take place before the 50/50 drawing at the table,
if you wish to witness it make your way over there some time after
7:15PM. If it is not won it will increase by $25 each week. If there
is not enough funding from the 50/50 on any given night to advance
the CAM it will not be drawn and held over. It will be at the
discretion of the Host as to how big it gets before a “Draw Till We
Win” night.
** See our
welcome page, it has the description of the cars.
